Digital Events Producer

The National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) seeks a Digital Events Producer to work with the digital, streaming, and other virtual events the Association produces. The producer will oversee everything from the creative presentation of content to the actual filming, editing, and streaming of the content. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Events.

Who you are:

You have an eye for design and presenting content and are ready to take on all aspects of production, managing anything and everything from making presenters look good on camera to troubleshooting during live presentations to editing and sharing the final product. What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the look, touch, and feel of all video-based products and services within the Association.
  • Oversee production equipment and systems for the programs, conferences, webinars, and training the Association provides to its members and to its staff.
  • Work with the Events and Education staff to plan and prepare for scheduled events, providing expertise with respect to the timing and resources necessary for these events and ensuring that capabilities, standards, and best practices are line with expectations. Also work on internal videos for the CEO’s messages to credit union members, on-boarding videos, on-line training (OTC), and other content.
  • Assist and prepare participants for video appearances to make sure they present the best possible image for recording – assisting with hair, makeup, and clothing issues as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot during live presentations and recordings and oversee the editing, both during and following production, to ensure the most professional programs.
  • Responsible for recording and editing digital content, which includes trimming videos, creating/adding graphics, splicing content, etc.
  • Work together with the IT staff to ensure that NAFCU’s ability to present virtually is consistent with the latest technology and trends for video production and consumption.
  • Advise on the design and supports updates to virtual event websites and/or social media as needed to ensure a seamless and positive attendee experience.

Position Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree is required: a major in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field, is desired.
  • Two to three years of experience in the production field is required.
  • Work experience with video conferencing software including Zoom, Teams, Wirecast, Bluejean, Vmix, and/or WebEx is required, as is knowledge and experience with camera operation, audio-video equipment, associated software including Adobe Premiere, and hosting sites. Experience with web technology, including CMS, is desired.
  • Desktop publishing skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Acrobat are desired. Knowledge of Dreamweaver is a plus. Basic Microsoft skills are required.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in digital content delivery, production, social media, and virtual programming are a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills and initiative in suggesting ways to make productions more effective are needed.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with teams that are creating productions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with members of the Executive Team and high-level presenters/speakers. Must employ a consultative approach to problem-solving.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities and meet the demands of a production schedule. Experience in managing large scale projects is a plus.
  • Travel will be required when live conferences are scheduled – the incumbent may travel up to 10-25% of his/her time.
