Dan Rockwell: A must read

Written by Anthony Demangone

I can't remember the exact day I stumbled upon the "Leadership Freak."  It is a blog written by Dan Rockwell. Devoted to leadership, it is a daily dose of medicine, encouragement and thought-provoking questions.

Take yesterday's offering from Mr. Rockwell.

Complaining-horse

That quote comes from his post, titled "17 ways to meet tomorrow's challenges." A few tid-bits from his writing...

2. Welcome the frustrations of others as expression of their passion. Explore don’t ignore frustration.
3.  Avoid solving problems for people. Leaders who solve-for spawn dependency
9.  Remember that some people need to talk. Listen and ask, “What can we do?”
14. Smile when the next problem rises up. Turn problems into opportunities.

Dan has a strong penchant for cutting through to the heart of an issue. Spending a few minutes with his thoughts each morning is a wonderful way to start the day.

Here are a few other gems from Dan:

We're lucky to have Dan be one of NAFCU's keynote speakers at our annual conference. Here's a great video of Dan to give you a glimpse of what is in store for attendees. I hope you can join us.  But if you can't, you can always sign up to get a daily dose of the "Leadership Freak."

It is good stuff, people. Good stuff!
