Mini Key Note Speeches...For Free

The power of the internet is amazing.  Certainly, there is a good deal of junk floating out there on the world-wide-web.  But there are gems, free for the taking.

A few months ago, a good friend of mine introduced me to John Spence.  John is a business consultant based in Florida who works with a number of companies to improve their operations.  But he gives away a ton of good stuff, which I have happily consumed.

We have a conference room in NAFCU where we host our monthly all-staff meetings.  It has three wide-screen TVs that are hooked to our computer system and internet.  John puts a number of his thoughts onto You Tube videos which he provides for free, and they've been a nice addition to our all-staff meetings.

Like the title of this blog post, it's like having a short key-note speech at your staff meeting, for free.

By far, the most popular video was this one, entitled Personal Kiazen. (You Tube, 8 minutes.)  The message is clear and strong: self-improvement and constant learning is the path to success.   After the meeting, a number of my colleagues remarked about how John's message was very inspirational.  I urge you to view the video, and to share it with your team.

Shameless plug.  If you like what you hear, keep in mind that John will be speaking at NAFCU's CEOs and Senior Executive's Conference this April, in Key West, Florida.  Attendees will receive a copy of John's recent book, Awesomely Simple.  But if you can't make the conference, now you have a way of bringing John to you.  For free.
