Health One CU closed
The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services liquidated Health One Credit Union of Detroit on Friday, and NCUA was named liquidating agent.
Health One's assets were assumed by New England Federal Credit Union of Williston, Vt.
Chartered in 1957, Health One, a state-chartered credit union, served employees of the Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations as well as persons residing, working, worshipping, volunteering and attending school in Michigan's Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. NCUA reported that Health One served 3,664 members and had assets of approximately $14.5 million, according to the credit union's latest call report.
Health One is the 11th federally insured credit union to be liquidated in 2014.
