CUbroadcast: NAFCU, CBANC talk compliance, policies
NAFCU Director of Regulatory Compliance Brandy Bruyere and CBANC CEO Bryan Koontz discussed how the organizations' partnership has benefited them and the entire credit union industry in an interview with CUbroadcast's Mike Lawson that aired Monday.
"There is a natural chemistry between NAFCU and our members and CBANC," said Bruyere. "Our members are able to access some great resources."
Koontz added, "The partnership provides NAFCU with solutions to help its members solve a whole host of regulatory compliance issues. For us, it really helps us expand our credit union membership network."
The alliance between NAFCU and CBANC was launched last summer and provides all NAFCU-member credit unions with access to materials via a free, secure online portal.
Bruyere said CBANC allows NAFCU members to share ideas about vendors; access templates, policies and procedures; and crowdsource solutions. "NAFCU is committed to extreme member service, and this was just a natural fit and flow for us," Bruyere said.
When discussing the latest industry trends, Bruyere noted the influx of regulations credit unions must comply with and the challenges of meeting the compliance demands. "CBANC can help compliance officers save time," she said.
"We are committed to finding whatever path helps our members succeed and grow," Bruyere concluded. "We just look to CBANC as another way to do that, and we hope that partnership keeps growing."
