Learn from award winners at Annual Conference
May 19, 2011 – Credit union representatives who attend NAFCU's Annual Conference & Exhibition next month will leave with innovative ideas and solutions they can use to drive growth and enhance member engagement at their respective institutions.
The conference, June 28-July 2 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, will give credit unions the latest on issues, trends and technology. In addition, it will provide participants with a look at the success stories of the federal credit unions, CEOs, professionals and volunteers set to receive the 2011 NAFCU Annual Awards.
To recap, the winners include:
- Pinellas FCU in Largo, Fla.
- Tinker FCU in Oklahoma City
- Lynette Smith of Washington Gas Light FCU in Springfield, Va.
- Gail DeBoer of SAC FCU in Bellevue, Neb.
- Dan McGowan of Pioneer West Virginia FCU in Charleston, W.Va.
- David Tuyo of Pen Air FCU in Pensacola, Fla.
- Ralph Bicker of Pasadena FCU in Pasadena, Calif.
- Curtis Collins of JSC FCU in Houston, Texas.
From DeBoer, for example, Annual Conference participants will learn how she led SAC FCU to become the largest credit union in Nebraska. DeBoer, the credit union's CEO, notes that reaching that goal was the result of engaged employees and sharing the credit union's story with the community through effective marketing. Conference attendees can also learn how Pinellas FCU strengthened its members' loyalty through programs that provided assistance to those affected by county layoffs that occurred last year.
In addition to learning from the Annual Award winners, conference participants will be able to sign up for the event's many educational, breakout sessions. Customizing the NAFCU Annual Conference experience couldn't be easier, thanks to the conference's agenda builder.
