OFAC Violations Cost JPMorgan Chase

On October 5, 2018, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced an approximate $5.3 million settlement JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (JPMorgan Chase), to settle potential civil liability for 87 apparent violations of the Cuban Assets Control Regulations, Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations and the Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferators Sanctions Regulations.
