Question -
I recently heard that credit unions could not make mortgage loans to nonmembers
even if the loans were processed by our credit union service organization
(CUSO)? Is this true? I know that credit
unions generally cannot make loans to nonmembers. I thought, however, that there were limited
exceptions for circumstances involving real-estate loans, such as for loan
packaging purposes.
