CUs: Share perspective on data privacy, RDC

surveyThere are a number of regulatory hot topics facing credit unions – from the new California state privacy law to remote deposit capture (RDC) litigation threats and more – and NAFCU would like member feedback on how institutions are addressing these issues.

Association-member credit unions can provide their feedback through the latest Economic & CU Monitor survey; responses are due tomorrow and can be submitted via online survey.

The survey asks credit unions which data privacy laws impact their institution and what compliance efforts will entail, including associated costs and timing. In addition, the association is interested in learning more about the RDC technology credit unions use as legal questions remain around certain patents.

NAFCU relies on survey responses to provide its members with a glimpse into the latest trends affecting the credit union industry. Responses are also used to inform advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with regulatory agencies such as the NCUA, CFPB and Federal Reserve.
