NAFCU's Anthony Demangone and Alicia Nealon, in turn, provided credit union attendees ideas to help employees succeed and a look at the latest industry regulations Thursday during NAFCU's Strategic Growth Conference in Savannah, Ga.

Demangone, the association's executive vice president and COO, discussed five ideas to help employees thrive. These focus on helping employees take ownership of their work, ensuring clear communication and promoting good health, self-improvement and responsibility. (Demangone discusses the fourth item in his Musings from the CU Suite blog post "One of my slides today...")

Nealon, NAFCU's director of regulatory affairs, focused on the current regulatory environment, covering topics such as NCUA's recent appraisal rule changes and its current risk-based capital proposal, CFPB's proposed qualified mortgage "small creditor" changes and the Federal Housing Finance Agency's proposed revisions to Federal Home Loan Bank membership eligibility criteria.
