How CUs can better support business members

small businessDid you know 21 percent of consumer debit cards in the U.S. are used for business spending? In a webinar tomorrow, Mastercard will explore small business trends, including the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and how credit unions can better serve business members.

During the webinar, led by Mastercard North America Small Business Lead Ginger Siegel, credit unions will learn more about:

  • how to identify and meet the needs of existing and prospective small business members;
  • the importance of segmentation, including differences between consumer and small business and industry type; and
  • how to unlock revenue potential for both the credit union and small business members.

The webinar is completely underwritten by Mastercard, with no cost to credit unions. Register for tomorrow's event, slated to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern, here.

In addition to this great resource, NAFCU's award-winning advocacy team continues to share what more can be done at the legislative and regulatory levels to ensure credit unions can effectively serve small businesses. The association is currently working with Congress, the Small Business Administration, and other stakeholders to obtain relief under the member business lending cap, more guidance for the paycheck protection program, and more.
