MasterCard's Murphy to talk payments at Annual Conference
MasterCard General Counsel and Chief Franchise Officer Tim Murphy will give credit union leaders an overview of the payments landscape during NAFCU's 48th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, scheduled June 23-26 in Montreal.
Murphy oversees legal affairs, public policy, compliance, franchise development, and security and privacy for MasterCard. Before taking his current post in 2014, he served as chief product officer, overseeing the management, development and commercialization of payments solutions, where he created a sustainable competitive advantage for MasterCard and its issuers.
"Murphy possesses an unparalleled wealth of knowledge on the financial industry," said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. "His insights will be extremely valuable to credit unions as they strive to successfully tackle the plethora of electronic payment issues impacting the industry."
Murphy is among a slate of speakers presenting at the conference. Keynoters include Mike Abrashoff, a former U.S. Navy captain and Jeremy Gutsche, founder and CEO of TrendHunter.com, which is the world's largest network of trend spotting and innovation. NAFCU's government affairs staff and NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz will also offer remarks.
MasterCard is the Annual Conference's Signature Sponsor and a NAFCU Services Preferred Partner. Additional sponsors include NAFCU Services Corporation, Allied Solutions, CO-OP Financial Services, CUNA Mutual Group, Vantiv, LLC, and VISA.
