NAFCU meets with NCUA Financial Technology and Access Director Vice

NCUANAFCU staff Wednesday held an introductory meeting with NCUA Financial Technology and Access Director Charles Vice to highlight the association’s stance on relevant credit union topics.

Vice was named director at the start of the year and in his role, he will serve as the NCUA Board’s principal advisor on fintech issues, including those related to enhancing financial services, examination, supervision, and financial inclusion.

NAFCU Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Greg Mesack, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Ann Petros, Senior Counsel for Research and Policy Andrew Morris and Regulatory Affairs Counsel Dale Baker were in attendance during the meeting.

Staff briefed Vice on the association’s advocacy efforts regarding digital assets and related technologies with not only the agency, but also the Treasury Department, CFPB, Federal Reserve, and Department of Commerce.

NAFCU will continue to work closely with the NCUA to ensure that credit unions have the necessary resources and guidance to effectively serve their 134 million members.
