NAFCU wraps up advocacy efforts at RNC, looks ahead to DNC
NAFCU's Chad Adams and Meghan Brady continued their advocacy efforts for credit unions with a focus on regulatory relief Thursday during the final day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Adams, NAFCU's senior associate director of legislative affairs, and Brady, NAFCU's associate director of political affairs, attended an event yesterday featuring Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D., and another focused on the future of the Republican Party, plus other policy briefings. All this week, the two have been meeting with lawmakers and other policymakers to discuss issues important to credit unions.
Adams and Brady on Thursday also met with Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., Rep. French Hill, R-Ark., and Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
Also on Thursday, Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.; Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin; RNC Chairman Reince Priebus; and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, among others, spoke from the main stage at the convention.

Next week, NAFCU Board Vice Chair Jeanne Kucey (CEO & President of JetStream Federal Credit Union) and NAFCU Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler will be in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention. NAFCU's team will again focus on bringing the regulatory burden on credit unions to the attention of lawmakers and other policymakers.
