NAFCU’s Berger meets with Rep. Aguilar on CU industry, legislative outlook

NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger Thursday met with Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif., to discuss the association’s priorities for 2023 and the outlook for the 118th Congress. Aguilar is the current House Democratic Caucus Chairman and a former credit union executive.

NAFCU Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler, Senior Associate Director of Legislative Affairs Amber Milenkevich, and Associate Director of Legislative Affairs Jake Plevelich were also in attendance.

During the meeting, the group discussed credit union legislation and regulatory relief, as well as concerns about the Community Development Financial Institution Fund.
