NAFCU's Small Biz Lending Working Group hears from SBA staff on CU participation in lending programs

SBAThe NAFCU Small Business Lending Working Group held its quarterly meeting Wednesday where member credit unions and NAFCU staff heard from Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Capital Access staff. Attendees reviewed the latest legislative and regulatory updates regarding small business lending.

During the meeting, the group heard updates on SBA lending programs in the aftermath of the paycheck protection program and strategies to increase credit union participation in SBA programs. Members of the working group also had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with staff from the SBA Office of Capital Access.

NAFCU will continue to engage Congress, the SBA, and federal financial regulators to advocate on behalf of credit unions and ensure they can effectively lend to their members.
