New on the Compliance Blog: NCUA annual meeting guidance, charter conversions

ComplianceAs credit unions work to meet the needs of more than 134 million Americans, NAFCU's award-winning regulatory compliance team continues to keep credit unions informed with new posts on the Compliance Blog, published every Monday and Wednesday.

Here's a roundup of what's new this week:

Coming in 2023: Hybrid Annual Meetings: In Monday’s post, Director of Regulatory Compliance Nick St. John writes about the NCUA’s recent Letter to Credit Unions announcing that federal credit unions (FCUs) can no longer hold annual meetings in an entirely virtual format and instead must move to a hybrid model that has an in-person attendance option. St. John also notes that NCUA did provide NAFCU-sought clarification that virtual attendees count towards the quorum requirement.

Converting from a State to a Federal Charter: Regulatory Compliance Counsel Tara Simpson outlines information that may be helpful for credit unions that are considering converting from a state charter to a federal charter.
