Roche, Schools reelected to NAFCU Board; Nicholson, Sultemeier join
Jan N. Roche, president and CEO of State Department Federal Credit Union (Alexandria, Va.), won reelection to an at-large seat on the NAFCU Board of Directors in voting that closed Wednesday, announced Board Secretary Gary Grinnell. Brian T. Schools, president and CEO of Chartway Federal Credit Union (Virginia Beach, Va.), was also re-elected as eastern region director.
Lonnie Nicholson, president and CEO of EECU Credit Union (Fort Worth, Texas.), and Keith Sultemeier, president and CEO of Kinecta Federal Credit Union (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), will join the board as southern region director and western region director respectively. Nicholson will replace board member Charles A. Rutan, CEO of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union (Dallas, Texas), and Sultemeier will replace Richard L. Harris, president and CEO of Caltech Employees Federal Credit Union (La Canada, Calif.). Rutan and Harris’s terms end in June 2019.
"We extend a very warm welcome to our new board members, as I know how dedicated they will be to serving their colleagues and credit unions,” said NAFCU Board Chair Jeanne Kucey. “We also thank Rich Harris and Chuck Rutan for their service to NAFCU and for their contributions to the credit union industry.”
All four members will begin their three-year terms at the close of NAFCU’s annual business meeting, which takes place this year at the association’s Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in New Orleans.
Other board members include:
- Jeanne Kucey, president and CEO of JetStream Federal Credit Union (Miami Lakes, Fla.), also board chair for NAFCU;
- Debra Schwartz, president and CEO of Mission Federal Credit Union (San Diego, Calif.), also board vice chair for NAFCU;
- Thomas W. DeWitt, president and CEO of State Farm Federal Credit Union (Bloomington, Ill.), also board treasurer for NAFCU;
- Gary Grinnell, president and CEO of Corning Federal Credit Union (Corning, N.Y.); also board secretary for NAFCU;
- Robert L. Fisher, president and CEO of Grow Financial Federal Credit Union (Tampa, Fla.);
- James A. Kenyon, president and CEO of Whitefish Credit Union (Whitefish, Mont.); and
- Daniel Weickenand, CEO of Orion Federal Credit Union (Memphis, Tenn.).
NAFCU’s Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, June 18-21, is open to NAFCU members and nonmembers.
