Schumer says Dems will work to block Dodd-Frank repeal
Incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said attempts to repeal the Dodd-Frank Act, which President-elect Donald Trump has said he will dismantle, will be met with resistance.
"We are not going to roll back Dodd-Frank, I think they should forget about that, we have 60 votes to block them," Schumer said Sunday on "Meet the Press."
Trump's transition team has called the "bureaucratic red tape" of the Dodd-Frank Act economy ineffective and has said they will work to dismantle the law and replace it with new policies that would encourage economic growth.
NAFCU continues to fight for regulatory relief from Dodd-Frank for credit unions.
