This week: Senate returns from winter break, Banking Committee looks at CDFIs

weekWith Senator Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) announcement that he cannot support the budget reconciliation package – the Build Back Better Act (BBBA) and Senate’s decision last month to push any further work on it into 2022, the chamber returns this week from winter break to try to jumpstart negotiations to revive the package. The House is scheduled to return next week.

In addition, the Omicron coronavirus variant continues to surge and officials are working to provide guidance on how to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus. NAFCU continues to share regulatory compliance updates on the vaccine mandates.
