CU responses on EMV, interchange due July 6

NAFCU is seeking members' input by July 6 through its Economic & CU Monitor survey on EMV and interchange. The survey asks credit unions about their use of EMV cards and if the cap on interchange fees has affected any of their products or account features.

NAFCU relies on survey participation to provide its members a glimpse of trends affecting the credit union industry as a whole. Survey results are also used in NAFCU's advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with regulatory agencies such as NCUA, CFPB and the Federal Reserve.

The survey also seeks responses on the percentage of EMV-enabled cards from credit unions currently in circulation and whether or not credit unions have increased account fees as a result of the Durbin amendment.

Member credit unions can fill out the Monitor survey online or via an Excel file to be returned to research@nafcu.org.
