NAFCU Monthly Recap - October 2022

With the midterm elections just around the corner, October was busy at NAFCU. NAFCU Senior Vice President of Greg Mesack explains how the association fought to keep legislation that would extend the Durbin Amendment’s debit interchange network routing requirements, as well as language to grant the NCUA third-party vendor authority, out of the Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Additionally, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the CFPB’s funding structure is unconstitutional, and NAFCU Vice President of Research and Chief Economist Curt Long dives into recent actions from the Federal Reserve.

Greg Mesack sums up October with the association's monthly recap video.
