November webcasts: Sexual harassment prevention, ADA compliance, more

NAFCU is offering four webcasts in coming weeks to help credit unions learn how to prevent a hostile work environment, ensure website compliance under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), create a business continuity plan and understand the impacts of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's payday lending rule.

The CFPB payday rule webcast will be posted on NAFCU's website soon. Meanwhile, here's what's open now:

Wednesday, Nov. 8, credit union webcast attendees will learn what a hostile work environment looks like, the behaviors that cause it and the proper steps to address it. This webcast, titled "Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace," will be led by Joyce Oliner. Oliner will also discuss best practices in addressing complaints and workplace harassment. Register by Nov. 1 to receive $100 off this webcast.

Thursday, Nov. 9, credit union risk and compliance staff will learn more about the ADA, website compliance and how to mitigate the current litigation and compliance risks. Buckley Sandler LLP's Margo Tank and Lori Sommerfield will lead the webcast, "Mitigating Risk: Recent Developments in ADA Accessibility Compliance for Credit Unions." Register by Nov. 2 to receive $100 off this webcast.

Wednesday, Nov. 15, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP's John Moeller will lead a webcast on how credit unions can create a business continuity plan. Titled, "Skill-Building Fundamentals for Business Continuity Planning," the webcast will help attendees understand the required components in a business continuity plan (as detailed in Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council guidelines) and explore real-world scenarios. In addition, attendees will learn the difference between a business continuity plan, disaster recovery plan and incident response plan. Register by Nov. 8 to save $100. This webcast will be sponsored by NAFCU Services Corporation.

NAFCU's on-demand webcasts are available for 12 months after the live broadcast through the association's Online Training Center.
