Mortgage rule compliance showcased online

Credit unions searching for NAFCU resources on the CFPB's new mortgage rules need only look in one place now.

NAFCU's compliance team has compiled all the association's compliance-related information on the CFPB's rules on ability to repay, escrow accounts, appraisals, higher-priced loans, servicing, loan originator compensation and qualifications here. The page also includes links to NAFCU Compliance Blog posts on the rules, the association's Final Regulation summaries, Regulatory Alerts, compliance newsletter articles and more.

"One of the toughest things about the CFPB's mortgage rulemaking, for credit unions, has been figuring out how to keep track of these separate but related rules," said Steve Van Beek, NAFCU's director of regulatory compliance. "Now, credit unions can find it all via a single web page."
