Yesterday, NAFCU partnered with the Seattle Stand Down in conjunction with the association's 51st Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Seattle, where attendees assembled 200 care bags that will be donated to veterans who lack permanent housing or simply need assistance.

"Seattle Stand Down does amazing work for veterans and their communities, and we're delighted to work with them this year," said NAFCU Services Corporation President Randy Salser. "This project is a great way for our attendees to showcase what they do best – helping communities and those in need."

The Seattle Stand Down is a one-stop shop for resources and services available to those veterans who lack permanent housing or simply need help in order to prevent homelessness. To date, the group has assisted nearly 3,000 veterans who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in the Seattle area.

Amazon Web Services, CUNA Mutual Group, Q2 and Vantiv (now Worldpay) are sponsoring the charity event. Conference attendees participated in filling the bags.

NAFCU's Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, sponsored by NAFCU Services Corporation Preferred Partner Strategic Resource Management, concludes today. Next year's event is scheduled June 18-21 in New Orleans; register now.
