NAFCU's 2018 CEOs and Senior Executives Conference kicks off in Napa

NapaEducational sessions for NAFCU's 2018 CEOs and Senior Executives Conference kicks off today with a welcome address from NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. The conference, held in Napa, Calif., continues through Friday.

Following today's introductory remarks, Berger will provide the group with a Washington and Industry Update that will cover the latest developments on Capitol Hill and other regulatory activities at the NCUA, CFPB and Federal Reserve.

Today's program will include a keynote address by Mike Walsh, a futurist, innovation and technology expert, and CEO of Tomorrow. Walsh will cover the scientific breakthroughs, emerging technologies and disruptive business models that attendees can use for their organization. Walsh's keynote is sponsored by Triad Financial Services.

Following Walsh's presentation, a Ritz-Carlton executive will discuss how attendees can craft a memorable member service experience at their credit union.

Attendees today will also have the opportunity to connect with other CEOs during various networking sessions.

Tomorrow, attendees will learn about:

  • new, emerging trends affecting the credit union industry;
  • how credit unions can leverage artificial intelligence and learn more about biometrics;
  • current trends for credit unions in the auto lending space; and
  • how credit unions can monitor rising interest rates and critical economic developments.
