NAFCU's Berger launches leadership-focused blog

Jan. 17, 2014 – NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger today is launching The Berger Leadership Blog, putting the focus on leadership and providing management tips for senior executives and CEOs.

"I'm an avid reader of everything leadership and management and get asked by some of our member CEOs to share the interesting, quick tips I run across. This is just an outlet to share that information with other senior executives," Berger said. "I know I'm not an expert on leadership or management and I still have much to learn on these subjects, so I'm hoping this blog will provide folks with new techniques to try in your own organizations."

Berger's first post, Jan. 3, highlights "How Not to Start a New Year," with insight on how even the best leaders have weaknesses and how to not let those weaknesses outshine one's strengths. Another post, "4 Noticeable Traits of a Leader," focuses on characteristics that a good leader should and should not have.

Today's post covers NAFCU's motto of Extreme Member Service and tips on how to hire the right people to match the organization's mission and goals.

Berger is scheduled to publish a new blog post every Friday. To receive his posts in your inbox, sign up now.
