New Compliance Roadmap helps CUs navigate complex regs

Complaince RoadmapNAFCU's Credit Union Compliance Roadmap – formerly the Credit Union Compliance GPS – has been redesigned with a new clean and modern look to ensure credit unions can easily navigate a complex regulatory environment. The resource, a must-have for credit union compliance professionals, is now available online.

Just like the GPS, the Roadmap is designed to assist credit union compliance professionals as they work to ensure institutional compliance with ever-changing regulations. The Roadmap – written by NAFCU’s highly-regarded compliance team – provides an overview of federal regulations that apply to credit unions and provides tools to help staff answer the top questions of today.

In addition, the new format includes links to relevant NAFCU resources and external supplementary reading to help credit unions find answers to their questions.

Here are some of the changes new this year:

  • Regulation D;
  • Regulation CC;
  • Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA);
  • flood insurance; and
  • the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

NAFCU is offering a sneak peek of the 2020 Roadmap prior to purchase; see a part of the Regulation E section from the Member Accounts chapter, or check out FAQs on the manual.

The Roadmap is used as the textbook for those taking the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) exams; registration for the Virtual Regulatory Compliance School – happening July 28-30 and August 4-6 – is still open here.

Those who attend NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance School receive a free copy of the Compliance Roadmap.
