Test BSA knowledge with NAFCU's new quiz
NAFCU has posted an online, six-question quiz to give credit union staff a fun way to test their Bank Secrecy Act knowledge in preparation for the association's first-ever BSA Seminar, Oct. 24-28 in New Orleans.
NAFCU recently added new sessions to the seminar agenda, including presentations on how to conduct a Bank Secrecy Act risk assessment and what might come next in BSA enforcement. NAFCU staff and other speakers will explain how to set up a successful BSA compliance program with a risk assessment process that will meet examiners' expectations. They will also present on more advanced BSA topics, including how to review high-risk accounts and techniques for monitoring a compliance program.
Seminar attendees will also hear stories from law enforcement professionals about their experience with money laundering schemes.
The new conference was also recently approved for 17 CAMS continuing education credits by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
The BSA Seminar runs parallel to NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance Seminar; both are open to all credit union professionals with special pricing available for NAFCU members. Due to limited seating, early registration is encouraged. Register by Sept. 9 to save $100 with code: BSASAVINGS.
