This week: Congress out for holiday, NAFCU prepares for Caucus, CFO Summit, more
Members of Congress are back home in their states and districts this week for the Fourth of July holiday after several eventful hearings and legislative advancements over the last few weeks. NAFCU is gearing up for a busy next few months with multiple can’t-miss events planned for credit unions.
This Friday, comments are due to NAFCU on the CFPB’s Request for Information (RFI) on relationship banking and customer service.
Of note, credit unions can now register for NAFCU’s 2022 Congressional Caucus where attendees will have the opportunity to engage lawmakers and regulators on a wide range of industry topics and all things happening on Capitol Hill. The event, happening September 11-14, will be held in person in Washington D.C. Save $200.00 with code CCSAVINGS through July 15.
In addition, registration is now open for NAFCU’s 2022 CFO Summit, where attendees will be able to take advantage of actionable information, best practices and stronger connections needed to advance credit unions. Held in Annapolis, Md., from September 20-22. Save $200.00 with code CFOSAVINGS through July 29.
The July-August edition of The NAFCU Journal, now available on the magazine’s virtual hub, features NCUA Chairman Todd Harper's insights on how credit unions have a unique opportunity to promote financial education and literacy in their communities. In the second feature, Sterling Nielsen, President and CEO of Mountain America Credit Union, discusses how thoughtful strategy and commitment to members can result in successful branch expansion.
