The latest episode of NAFCU’s Credit Union Policy Podcast (CUPP) features a discussion between FHFA Deputy Director for the Division of Research and Statistics at the Federal Housing Finance Agency Dan Coates and CUPP host NAFCU Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Ann Petros on climate change risk.
Coates and Petros dive into the role of financial regulators in addressing climate change risk. This CUPP episode also covers potential solutions for ensuring the housing sector is equipped to handle climate risk.

At NAFCU’s 2022 Congressional Caucus, Senior Regulatory Affairs Counsel Aminah Moore sat down with FHFA Director Sandra Thompson for a discussion that touched on the FHFA’s ability to confront the impact of climate change on the housing finance system.
The CUPP takes listeners into the heart of Washington, D.C., to highlight where lawmakers and regulators stand on key credit union issues. In previous episodes, Petros has sat down with guests such as NCUA Chairman Todd Harper, NCUA Vice Chairman Kyle Hauptman, Representative Ed Perlmutter, D-Colo., and more.
