NAFCU Reg Compliance & BSA Seminar provides attendees with need-to-know info
Yesterday, NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance & BSA Seminar concluded in Savannah, Ga., closing out a three-day event that provided attendees with the latest on evolving regulatory trends and hot topics.
Attendees strengthened their overall compliance and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) knowledge and learned how to conquer the latest industry specific challenges.
This year’s event covered topics such as:
- the CFPB’s rulemaking agenda;
- lessons learned from bank failures;
- preparing for compliance with the bureau’s rule implementing section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act;
- fraud mitigation and detection strategies;
- currency transaction reports and suspicious activity reports; and
- the Federal Reserve’s FedNow service.
During the event, NAFCU Certified Compliance Officers (NCCOs) and NAFCU Certified Bank Secrecy Officers (NCBSOs) also had the opportunity to recertify by attending the BSA track.
