NAFCU Certified Risk Manager (NCRM) Program

You must earn 16.5 continuing education credits (CEUs) during your accumulation period to maintain your NCRM. Each time you recertify, your NCRM is valid for another two year period during which you would need to obtain 16.5 CEUs in order to maintain your NCRM status. You can earn CEUs from both NAFCU and Non-NAFCU education programs that qualify for credit.

Earn Credits from NAFCU Education Programs

Easily maintain your NCRM designation by attending designated NAFCU conference sessions and/or webinars. A number of NAFCU education programs qualify for education credits towards your NCRM recertification, including:

  1. Attend NAFCU's Risk Management Seminar (automatically recertifies)
  2. Attend NAFCU’s Regulatory Compliance and BSA Seminar (automatically recertifies)
  3. Purchase the Online Compliance Training Subscription (includes over 30 live webinars a year, 1.0 CEU per compliance/risk webinar)
  4. Attend NAFCU's BSA School (9.25 CEUs)
  5. Attend NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance School (10.0 CEUs)
  6. Attend compliance sessions at other NAFCU conferences (various CEUs)
  7. Attend individual NAFCU compliance/risk webinars (1 CEU each)

Earn Credits from Non-NAFCU Education Programs

Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) can be earned by attending a non-NAFCU conference, event, or webinar, so long as the program is educational in nature and focuses on risk management topics. A total of .5 CEU is credited for each 30-minute increment of training. There is a $10 fee per .5 CEU earned. Program topics that qualify for CEUs include:

  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Risk Assessments
  • Cybersecurity/Data Breaches
  • Regulatory Risk
  • Vendor Management
  • Business Continuity Planning
