Access NAFCU's updated compliance GPS

Compliance GPSNAFCU's updated 2019 Credit Union Compliance GPS is available for credit unions to purchase and download. This electronic resource – written by NAFCU's highly-regarded compliance team – is critical in helping credit unions understand complex language in rules and stay on top of the ever-changing regulatory environment. Here's what's new this year.

  • the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155);
  • field of membership;
  • privacy;
  • the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA);
  • the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA);
  • the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA);
  • vendor management; and
  • Regulation CC.

In addition to the issue-specific updates, the 2019 edition includes specifics on regulating bodies such as the NCUA and CFPB, current credit union regulations and the basic anatomy of a federal credit union.

NAFCU is offering a sneak peek of the 2019 GPS manual prior to purchase; see a part of the Regulation E section from the Member Accounts chapter, or check out FAQs on the manual.

The GPS is used as the textbook for those taking the NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) exams; registration for the Summer Regulatory Compliance School – happening Aug. 12-16 in Minneapolis – is still open here.

Those who attend NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance School receive a free copy of the GPS manual.
