Leadership author, motivational speaker, and trained improv comedian James Robilotta delivered the final keynote address for Engage 2023: NAFCU’s Annual Conference.

Robilotta’s presentation, with a touch of humor, took a deep dive into the art of courageous feedback and relationship building by explaining that we can’t learn things from people who are perfect, we can only learn things from people who are imperfect.

Some key takeaways include:

·         lead with empathy instead of judgment;

·         your intent will influence your impact;

·         leadership is an action, not a title;

·         self reflection and seeking feedback are important;

·         the power in asking for help and leaning on community; and

·         as leaders, not only your job to impact others’ lives, but to allow them to impact yours.
