Start 2021 with virtual education, training events from NAFCU
As credit unions begin planning for 2021, NAFCU is pivoting its first three conferences of the year to fully virtual events to ensure credit union professionals can pursue strategic organizational and professional goals even as uncertainty from the coronavirus pandemic remains.
"While the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our usual way of doing things, NAFCU's responsive and innovative team has delivered the education and training opportunities our members expect by pivoting to virtual events," said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. "Our 2020 virtual events have been tremendously successful, and we look forward to bringing even more of these opportunities to our industry at a lower cost while ensuring the health and safety of attendees."
The virtual spring events include:
- Strategic Growth Conference, February 17-18, 2021;
- Spring Regulatory Compliance School, March 16-18 and March 23-26, 2021; and
- Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee Conference, April 14-15, 2021.
There are also several virtual events happening yet this year, with registration still available:
- Lending Conference, Oct. 14-15;
- Regulatory Compliance Seminar, Oct. 27-30;
- Risk Management Seminar, Nov. 17-19;
- Management & Leadership Institute, Dec. 1-3; and
- CFO Summit, Dec. 9-10.
As NAFCU worked to provide credit unions with key updates and insights amid the pandemic, it hosted a landmark State of the Industry (access recaps and an on-demand recording of the event) and Roadshow Webinar series, which reached hundreds of credit unions across all 50 states and U.S. territories. Its annual Congressional Caucus also moved digital and allowed credit unions to hear directly from leaders at the NCUA, the House and Senate, and agencies.
The association will continue to find new ways to provide credit unions with the education and training they need to grow and better serve members.
Those who were registered to attend the in-person event will be automatically transferred to the virtual event. Additional details on conference refunds, hotel cancellations, and other transfer options were emailed to registered attendees. Please contact NAFCU's Member Service Center for additional questions or information via phone (800-344-5580) or email (info@nafcu.org).
